Guess What?!

We are going to Disney World....AGAIN!  What started off as just my oldest son and I going has turned into the whole family going...That means another 14 hour drive with 3 kids!  We will be leaving around 8 to 9 am.  We are planning on taking a lot more breaks and stopping over night to rest and then get up and make the rest of the trek down.  We are going to stop and stay with family if we don't think we can make it to Valdosta.

We are planning on going in September this time.  We are going to do M.N.S.S.H.P. again, too.  We are planning on doing 3 days at the parks including the party,  one day at Epcot for the opening day of Food and Wine, the Halloween Party, and then our last park will be Animal Kingdom.  We are doing off days between those days  so we can relax by the pool and chill out.

We have to stay at Port Orleans Riverside this time because its just the 5 of us going and no extended family this time.  We liked the feel of the resort when we ate at Boatwright's last year.  It just feels laid back and relaxing.  We also liked the fact that we can hop on the boat and ride over to Downtown Disney.  This is a selling point for my oldest who LOVES the Earl of Sandwich...
For our dining reservations we are going to eat dinner at Boatwright's the day of arrival.  Our second day we are eating breakfast at The Garden Grill before Epcot opens!  Our third day is a break day and we are going to have dinner at Cape May Cafe.  Our fourth day is our MNSSHP day and we are going to have dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern.  Our fifth day is another break day and we are having dinner at O'hana!!!  I tried multiple times our last trip to get reservations, but we couldn't manage to get them.  Luckily there were plenty of times available this trip!  Our last day we will be at Animal Kingdom.  We are having another early breakfast before park opening, this time at Tusker House!  We figured breakfast is a safe bet for the kids and the options are similar to Boma's so we are pleased with this option.  My next post will be about our wish list of things to do this coming trip.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Pt 2

We slept in til 10 am.  We went back to Disney Springs for Earl of Sandwich for lunch. We did not go to any parks during the day since we knew we could get into Magic Kingdom at 4 pm with our party tickets.

We got to Magic Kingdom a little bit after 4 pm.  We had no issues getting into the park.  We noticed people already getting spots for the first Boo to You Parade.  We had fast passes for Peter Pan's Flight starting at 5:15, so we went and had dinner at Columbia Harbor House.  I had the seafood mac n cheese which is delicious.

She LOVED the trip!  Of all of my kids she is the one that has the biggest imaginations and definitely believes in fairy tales, princesses, and all things Disney!

My youngest LOVED Peter Pan's Flight and asked us every time we were getting on a ride if we were doing PPF next.  Unfortunately, we only rode it the one time.

It's a Small World was next!

My youngest loved the "babies" dancing and playing.  lol...  We then went and rode the carousel and Ariel the Little Mermaid ride.
My husband and I rode Barnstormer with the boys, while my mom got in line with Buggy (my dd) to start trick -or-treating.  We were in line for 10 minutes, rode it, got off took pictures with Goofy, and met up with her by the trick-or-treat path to Tomorrowland.  She already had TONS of candy!

We took the boys trick-or-treating in Fantasy Land and then headed to Tomorrow Land.  The only thing we didnt ride was the speedway cars (my oldest has asthma) and Space Mt (next time)!  We trick-or-treated our way through and rode TTA and Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin 2x's.

We crossed the HUB and made our way to Adventureland and Frontierland to finish out all the trick-or-treat stops.  First we had to ride Haunted Mansion.  I thought it was supposed to be different at the parties, but it was the same.  My husband and I then rode Big Thunder Mt with my oldest.  We timed is just right so we could watch Hallowishes while we rode.  We laughed so much that ride!  My mom kept the other 2 and watched them from the bridge in Frontierland.  She said she liked her view from there, too.

After that we headed to Main Street to watch the parade and the last Hocus Pocus show.  We had front row spots to both!

I am planning on trying to go to just the party next year...We may just take a quick 4 day trip just for the party.  It depends though, we'll see when the time comes.

Our Trip Pt 1 ( heavy picture use)

So I have been meaning to write this post since November 6th.  Unfortunately asthma attacks and colds happened when we got back from Florida, so I had to get my kids and myself better before I could write this post.

We left from Indiana October 27th around 3 pm.  Luckily on the way down traffic was a breeze!  It took us 15 hours with loads of bathroom breaks and food stops.  We arrived at Disney World around 6 am.  We checked in, but our room wasn't ready until about 830 am.

This is about halfway through our trip!  Disney DVDs helped out a lot!  They were so into the Little Mermaid.  My husband was the only one in the back not "into" the movie...lol...
He slept most of the trip, but he fussed a lot even during his sleep.

He was super excited!

Waiting to get our room!  We were a bit delirious and laughed at everything!

Coloring and talking about Mickey Mouse!

We were beat from the drive, but once we got to our room and got cleaned up we had a burst of energy and were ready to head to Disney Springs!  Off we went....

He fell asleep before we got there...

WARNING:Picture overload.

He was showing off his ninja moves in the above pictures...

He was a ham and wanted lots of pictures, even if in half of them he didn't want
  to look at the camera....

Can you tell who is tired?

We had lunch at the Earl of Grey and it was delicious!  I had the Holiday Turkey sandwich and loved it!  My husband and his brother had the Chipotle Chicken sandwich.  It was great as well.  My mom and 2 oldest had the roast beef and cheddar.  It was tasty too.  My youngest got an order of mac n cheese and ate it up too.  Let's just say we ate here the next day too because it was so delicious!

After lunch we bought most of our souvenirs and explored.  I suggest doing this with your kids because everything each park had they had here at The World Of Disney!  Each of  our kids got a $100 gift card (The oldest 2 earned theirs by doing house work when asked and my youngest earned his by picking up toys and doing small chores)  We only bought them one surprise each and it was less than $20.  We had dinner reservations at 7:45 at Boatwright's Dining Hall at POR.  I changed the time to 5 because we were all tired by 4.  We took the boat over to the resort.  It was a quiet relaxing ride.  It was so relaxing My oldest fell asleep.

My husband and oldest fell asleep while waiting for the restaurant to open. We got there about an hour early so they had a decent nap.  Even with that nap he had a meltdown during dinner.  He had a migraine and needed meds asap, thankfully the gift shop had just what he needed and hubby took him outside for some fresh air and came back 15 minutes later with a happier child.  He then ordered his dinner.  We all enjoyed ours meals.  I know I will be going back and getting the creamy shrimp and grits again.

Once we got back to our hotel the kids saw the pool and wanted to swim.  Why not....My legs were not happy from the drive down so I took all 3 to the pool and we swam for an hour.  By the time we got out and went upstairs the swelling in my ankles was already better...The drive down really messed my legs and feet up, every night my feet and ankles looked like the did when I was 9 months pregnant! When we flew down I had no issues but sitting for 15 hours is not for me.  Next time I am flying!

They loved the pool!  They could have just one day in the parks and stayed at the pool the rest of the trip and been happy!  Kids are so easy to please sometimes.

Time for bed!  We all went to bed around 9!  That is early for all of us!
Pt 2 will be about MNSSHP.  That post will be up Tuesday!   Please like and follow for more updates...
